Festival North 2025
Welcome to Festival North 2025! We are excited to present this year a series of events to Prince George that will bring musicians and audiences together. Our festival offers music to enjoy and opportunities to be transported by musical moments while enjoying and learning about the music and musicians right here, in northern BC. We are thrilled to offer a wide-ranging program that focuses on the power that music has to bring people together. Our 2025 festival presents the all-pro Orchestra North Academy of classical musicians, Prince George's Juno award-winning Lheidli T'enneh singer Kym Gouchie, Flamenco guitar, an introduction to Hindoustani north Indian singing, and even a family folk dance with renowned callers Marian Rose (Quebec dances) and Doug Bordon (PG dance favourites). Festival concerts run daily in Prince George from August 1 to 5, and then on tour to Burns Lake, Houston and Smithers.

About Festival North
Running annually since 2016, Festival North (formerly, Spirit of the North Classical Music Festival) features classical chamber music and local musicians sharing the folk, fiddle, and traditional music, celebrating the diversity and talent of northern BC. 2025 marks an important landmark as we introduce Festival North to Prince George, through a close collaboration between the Orchestra North Summer Program, the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, and the PG Conservatory of Music. Through our festival we aim to learn, share, and connect northern audiences with their own professionals, while fostering relationships between visiting and local musicians.
