An Unparalleled Summer Musical Experience

Orchestra North 2025 Summer Program

The Orchestra North 2025 Summer Program will be held in Prince George, Aug 1-5, 2025! This fun and inspiring program is for players of symphonic instruments (strings, winds and brass) of all levels and ages for 5 days of orchestra, chamber music, workshops, and performances!

Our regular program is open to any instrumentalist: children, teens and adults. Additionally, we offer two specialty programs:

-Ready, Set, Violin!: Finally we have a spot for people who don't yet play! Pre-beginner strings classes; target age is 4-8 (July 31-Aug 5). Click here for more information.

-Orchestra North Academy Professional Development Program. This program offers opportunities for performance, specialized training and networking for professionals. Program will run July 29-Aug 8 (see Academy page for more information) and include performances in Prince George and other northern BC communities.

The Orchestra North Summer Program is a close partner with Festival North, which features daily concerts and events for participants and the general public. See our concerts page for the concert schedule.

Enjoy this year's musical experience!

We welcome string players of all levels and ages to apply! We also welcome intermediate and advanced wind and brass players to apply. More advanced players are welcome for evening symphony orchestra and additional chamber music; by invitation.

Our program is designed to help participants experience the joy of playing music in ensembles settings while developing skills. We organize ensembles to accommodate players of all ages and levels of playing.

We gratefully acknowledge the generosity of our community that keeps our program as accessible as possible. We make every effort to keep costs to participants very low thanks to generous sponsorships, donors, and partnerships.
